The Legacy Architecture

A named foundation endowed by commercial success.

The Meridian Foundation is the proposed 501(c)(3) nonprofit that receives a structured endowment from LEXGRID, the STRATA commercial tier, and TERRAPULSE, and deploys that capital across three permanent programs.

Endowment Strategy

A self-renewing engine.

The commercial entities dedicate 5–10% of net revenue annually to the Meridian Foundation endowment beginning in Year 5 (post-PhD completion). At $5M ARR with a 10% commitment, the endowment grows by $500,000 per year — reaching the $5M fellowship endowment target in approximately ten years from commercial launch.

Supplemental funding from NEH, Mellon, Getty, and individual major gifts accelerates this timeline. The Foundation's open-access work also qualifies for EU Horizon Europefunding, creating a transatlantic funding model.

Governance

An international, MENA-led board.

An international board of advisors drawn from Mediterranean and MENA antiquities professionals, archaeologists, and digital humanities scholars — not just Western academics. This governance model is itself a differentiator in grant applications and a statement of values in admissions essays.
